Phodiso Gasealolwe is a professional filmmaker born and raised in Kuruman, Northern Cape. Due to limited opportunities and resources in his hometown, he relocated to Johannesburg in 2011 to pursue a career in film and television production.

He has a wealth of experience working on various TV shows, including Speak Out, Nyan Nyan, The Perfect Picture, and Real Housewives, amongst others. His work has been featured on DSTV, SABC, and Netflix, as well as other platforms.

He founded Mogatsa Camera, a digital production company with an unquenchable desire to tell meaningful stories through high-end film content. His current big project under Mogatsa Camera is the Northern Cape Film Market and Festival.

It’s an annual event tailored to foster a culture of Film and television production in his province. The festival provides a platform for international & local storytellers to showcase their work. It also gives aspiring filmmakers access to workshops and mentorship opportunities.

The workshops and mentoring sessions are led by industry experts who impart essential skills, build networks, and share information to help the province gain a competitive edge in the industry. The NCFMF provides an excellent opportunity for film and TV industry professionals to collaborate and build a thriving community in the province.

The first event will be held in Kimberley, Northern Cape, from the 18-20th April 2024.
